Looking for the Webflow review to know is it worth trying? You are in the right place to understand its features and other details.
The website is one of the essential digital properties that individuals, brands, and companies should have to sustain their business.
The website makes client communication effective and lead generation seamless. Moreover, the publishers get the privilege to share information the way they want to.
There are so many website builders available that can help you create attractive websites without you writing a single piece of code, period. Webflow is also one such website builder out there.
Today, we will cover everything that you need to know about Webflow and also discuss whether you should use it or not. So, without wasting time, let’s begin.
A Brief Introduction Of Webflow
They have 160+ members in the team and a customer base of more than 1 million. So far, the brand has raised $75M of funding. Now, let’s discuss what are the features of Webflow.
Webflow Review 2020 – Best Features
In my Webflow review 2020, I would like to tell that its features are categorized into three types — Design, Build, and Launch.
Here, you get a visual canvas to create layouts without writing a single piece of code. With just drag-and-drop functionality, you can transform the blank canvas to an attractive user interface of a website.
The tool also offers pre-made elements that you can add straight away. You can also build your own from scratch using its page builder. You can make your website elements highly-portable and turn various elements accessible throughout the project.
Say you created a footer, sign up form, navigation bars, etc. You can just plug-and-play all such elements on other pages without having to re-build again in your project.
Through Designer, you can also work with CMS to add real-time content on your website instead of working with dummy texts. This makes the designing process faster because you are working with actual content that’s going to be there on the live website.
Some of the other features of Designer are:
- Creating reusable CSS classes.
- Defining color schemes and templates with a few clicks.
- Exporting your entire source code in a ZIP file. (only available in paid plans)
- Adding your custom CSS, HTML code through a user-friendly editor. (only available in paid plans)
- Attending mobile users, thanks to the responsiveness of the platform.
Now you don’t have to worry about adding attractive animations and compelling motion graphics on your website.
Those animations are built-in on Webflow to provide micro-interactions that capture users’ focus.
You can go with creating scroll-based parallax animations with 100% precision. You can also implement different styling, sizes, and position-based scrolling to give immersive browsing experience to visitors.
You can also add animations that build as you scroll through the page; I loved this feature. Add custom animations that trigger as per the movements of the mouse pointer. Whenever you hover or click on an element, it’d slightly change to a captivating movement.
You get several effects for entrances and emphasize to enlighten specific parts, texts, or elements on your webpage.
Usually, I prefer to design my pages concerning my sales and marketing funnel. And Webflow allows me to do so.
I can literally develop my pages from scratch while maintaining the buyer’s journey and funnel’s steps. So, these two were features of Design. Now, we will discuss two features of Build.
3. Content Management System (CMS)
What if you can develop your website as per your content? I mean, you don’t need to expand or shorten your content based on a template. Yes, you can do that with Webflow.
Thanks to the robust CMS of Webflow, you don’t have to limit your text, image, or video as per the orientation of a theme or template. You can also edit content by uploading a CSV file. Webflow has an API to let you upload all your content online then structure the layout accordingly.
Unlike WordPress, Webflow does not have any backend dashboard to edit pages, blogs, content, media, etc. Whenever you need to modify or change something in your content, you can do it on the page only.
You can also filter content as required. There are several conditional display regulations so that only specific visitors get to see content on your landing pages. Webflow lets you also work directly with JSON.
The Webflow’s API is so robust that you could literally cite all of your content from the system where your website is hosted at the time. If you want to publish your website content on a mobile app, you can also do that through Webflow’s API.
Here is my Webflow eCommerce review! With Webflow, creating attractive and responsive online stores is super easy. Webflow encourages local to multinational vendors and manufacturers to go online by creating an e-store on its platform.
Again, the defining feature of building an e-commerce store on Webflow is that the owner does not require to write a single line of code.
Moreover, you can have your own checkout page along with a unique layout of the cart page with relevant positioning and animation for grabbing customers’ attention.
On your e-commerce store on Webflow, you can also highlight top-selling and special products. This will let buyers know about your best products and improve conversions. I also liked the way Webflow allows me to interact with my prospects through email.
You don’t need to worry about sending receipts, follow-up emails, etc. Just upload your logo, edit colors, and send emails straight away from Webflow. Now, your sales won’t drop because some of your customers didn’t have credit cards.
Webflow understands this scenario and allows store owners and customers to sell and purchase goods respectively through various payment gateways. You can accept payments from more than 200 countries around the globe via credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
Webflow uses fraud detection and protection by Stripe on PayPal. You can seamlessly upgrade your product inventory on-the-go. In the coming time, Webflow will allow owners to provide discounts and vouchers to customers. We’d also be able to sell digital products on Webflow soon.
Moreover, you can add custom shipping costs. You can define shipping regions and relevant costs, and Webflow will add them accordingly.
You can also mention necessary details and Webflow will automatically calculate VAT and sales tax for customers in the European Union, Australia, the United States, and Canada.
If you want to share order details in a file or get a text on your smartphone when your order comes in, you can enable such features. If you are going to use custom social media campaigns, then Webflow will allow you to integrate your existing product catalog to social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
You can also cite your catalog for Google shopping ads for more conversions and smart retargeting. Moreover, you can integrate your Google Analytics account to keep tracking users’ engagement on your landing pages. This is the last segment of features. The name is Launch.
5. SEO-Friendly Editor
In this Webflow review, it is essential to talk about the editor. With Webflow, you don’t need any additional plugins, tools, or software to execute your on-page SEO activities.
You can effortlessly edit and optimize your website’s meta tags, open graph, and URL settings without Webflow’s dashboard. If you have a team that manages different activities of a website, you can track their involvement and assign tasks efficiently on Webflow.
By just glancing over the dashboard, you will know who is working on what task.
In the end, team management becomes efficient and more reliable through Webflow, and you no longer have to worry about sharing cPanel and FTP credentials.
6. Excellent Hosting
Webflow uses a lightning-fast host that is very responsive and robust. Webflow has 100+ data centers and servers across the globe. So, your website won’t make visitors wait to access the content.
On special days and occasions, if there is a tsunami of traffic on your landing pages, your website doesn’t have a single glitch. You won’t have any lag or glitches in your website’s performance if you use Webflow.
You don’t have to indulge yourself in tedious technical work of setting up a domain, FTP, cPanel, SSL, etc.
What’s The Process To Host A Website On Webflow?
1. You can create your free account and develop a basic layout of your website. Unless you want to upload your own ZIP file and add custom code, a free account is fine to get started with Webflow.
2. Then, you need to buy a custom domain for your business. Although Webflow registers domains, you can use other popular third-party domain registrars like GoDaddy, Google Domains, Namecheap, etc.
3. You need to purchase a paid plan to make your website live and accessible to the world. When you purchase the website plan, you can connect your custom domain and publish your entire website within a couple of clicks.
You also get SSL certificates for free to provide a secure connection to the and consumer.
Check the pricing details of this CMS through my Webflow review 2020. It has two plans — Site, and Account.

Team costs $35 per person when billed annually, and you get all the pro features along with the assurance of hosting an unlimited number of projects.

You just need to create your design for once, and you are good to go.
